Leaves and fir needles can make those wet pockets harder to spot. We look at the roof material, pitch, buildup, and access before proposing work. That assessment matters more than a one-size-fits-all cleaning package. Tell us about previous repairs, leaks, or fragile areas when you request a quote.

Composition shingles need a different approach from concrete patios. We use low-pressure cleaning and treatment rather than pressure-washing asphalt shingles. Loosened debris and established moss require different handling, so the sequence depends on condition. Treatment and visible removal are not always the same thing: treated moss may take time to release. We explain what to expect at completion and what may change with subsequent weather. Cedar, tile, and metal roofs need a material-specific assessment before we recommend a method.

Your landscaping, gutters, paths, and outdoor belongings are part of the job conversation. Let us know about delicate plants, pets, ponds, rain barrels, or unusual drainage. We discuss site preparation before starting. Move outdoor cushions and keep pets away from the work area until it is ready to use. If water drains into a collection system, tell us before treatment. We want the cleaning plan to account for the whole property, rather than just the surface in the photograph.

Send us the relevant cleaning request and deadline, leaving out policy numbers or unrelated personal information. We can discuss before-and-after photographs and a completion note as part of the scope. Your insurer decides which documents it accepts and whether cleaning meets its requirements.
