Different materials need different care. Here’s how we approach gutter cleaning.
01Clearing the gutter is only part of it.
A gutter can look clean from above and still have a blocked outlet. Downspout flushing helps check the route rainwater needs to follow. Tell us where you see overflow, drips, or water collecting near the house. Those observations help us focus the inspection. If a problem comes from a damaged gutter, poor slope, or underground drainage, cleaning alone may not solve it. We distinguish the cleaning scope from repairs so you know what you are approving.
02The right time is before the overflow.
Fall leaves arrive just as our wet season gathers pace. Spring can bring another round of seeds, needles, and small branches. Twice-yearly cleaning is a useful starting point for many local homes. Properties under large evergreens may need checks more often. A newer home without nearby trees may collect less organic debris, but roof grit and construction remnants can still reach the gutter. Look from the ground after heavy rain and note any places where water spills over.
03Guarded gutters still need a look.
Gutter guards can change how debris collects, rather than eliminate every maintenance need. Fine needles and grit may get through or sit on top. Tell us which guard system you have, and share a photo from a safe position. Removal and refitting may affect the work and price. We will confirm whether your system can be serviced before booking. Gutter installation, guard installation, and structural repairs are separate from our cleaning service.
04No pile of wet leaves left behind.
We collect the material removed from the gutters instead of leaving it scattered across a path or garden. Please point out locked gates, narrow side yards, sensitive landscaping, and outdoor items that affect access. A working exterior water connection helps with flushing. You do not need to climb up to measure your gutters for an initial request. Ground-level photos, the number of stories, and your address usually help us begin the quote conversation.
Do you flush the downspouts?+
Yes. Downspout flushing is part of the gutter-cleaning scope. A separate underground drainage problem may need another trade.
Do you take the debris away?+
Yes. We collect and haul away the debris removed during the clean.
Can you clean gutters with guards?+
Share a photo and the type of guard if you know it. We assess access and any removal requirements before confirming the scope.
Do I need to be home?+
We can discuss access arrangements in advance. Tell us about gates, pets, water access, and any areas you want checked.
Can you work on a two-story home?+
Yes, subject to safe access and site assessment. Height, roofline, and ground conditions affect the quote.
How often should gutters be cleaned here?+
Late fall and spring are common starting points. Homes under firs or large deciduous trees may need more frequent checks.
Will cleaning fix a leaking gutter?+
Cleaning removes blockages. It does not repair holes, failed seams, incorrect slope, or damaged underground pipes.
